SEED Clip and Export Tool
The SEED Clip and Export Tool can be found on the SEED map.
Step 1: To begin, add a supported data layer/s using Add layer from catalogue.
Please note: Raster and WMS layers are not supported.
Step 2: Once layer/s have been added, Select Tools, then click the Clip and Export icon.
The Clip and Export tool will open in the left-hand menu.
Step 3: Select the area you would like to clip and export.
Under the Draw Geometry option, you can define an area by selecting either Add Polygon or Add Rectangle and drawing the area on the map.
Alternatively, under the Upload Shape option, you can upload a shapefile area.
If successful, a green tick will appear with the message:
“Geometry defined through draw geometry.”
Step 4: Choose the data layer you would like to export by selecting the relevant layer/s from the list.
If you would like to clear or refresh the layer/s selection, select Refresh Layer List.
Once you are happy with the selection, you can export the layer/s to XLSX or Shapefile by selecting the relevant export button.
